Safety and construction excellence brought Houle to center stage three times at last night’s Awards of Excellence gala hosted by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA). For the fourteenth time, Houle earned VRCA’s safety award proving itself once more to be among the safest electrical contractors in the trades industry of British Columbia.
In the up to $2 million electrical category we won the Gold award for our work on the Prince Rupert Airport Terminal Upgrade. In the over $8 million category, we received gold for our work on our North Island Hospitals project. We also received Silver recognition for our work on the Tsawwassen Mills Mall and the Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre. Houle also won Silver in the over $2 million category with its BC Hydro Nanaimo District Office project.
Overall, we were honoured with two Gold awards, five Silvers and the Safety Award. Thanks to the VRCA and its panel of judges for recognizing commitment to excellence, quality and safety on our projects. We recognize and thank our many valued partners and associates involved in these projects including, Graham Construction, EllisDon, Ledcor Group, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Marcan Construction, Omnicron as well as the Vancouver Island Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health, Stantec Engineering and the Double Platinum sponsor for the awards of excellence, WorksafeBC.
Congratulations to our talented staff that drive our projects and initiatives and achieve excellence. Our Executive Team extends their thanks and appreciation for all the hard work and dedication that has earned these coveted awards.
Lastly, congratulations to all the award winners, most notably Ledcor Group for their Gold award on the Tsawwassen Mills Mall project.
Congratulations to all!
