The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) has awarded Houle with the 2021 Safety Award of Excellence for a subcontractor with 200,000 or more person-hours. The award honors contractors who have maintained a superior safety record throughout the year. The award criteria are based on a contractor’s claims records with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and are a reflection of a company’s overall commitment to safety.
